On September 29, 2026, as a part of the research project “Non-financial Reporting as a Tool for Assessing Human Capital,” a workshop titled “Building a Career in ESG and CSR for Law Enforcement Professionals” was held for students majoring in Law Enforcement. Zhanna Oleksich, PhD and Senior Lecturer, was one of the speakers.
What is ESG, and what role do law enforcement professionals play in it? Modern large-scale business operates according to the principles of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) and CSR (corporate social responsibility). Companies have a critical need for professionals capable of assessing risks and working with big data, ensuring compliance with laws and anti-corruption regulations, and identifying threats to maintain internal corporate security.
And these are precisely the hard skills taught to law enforcement students!
During the meeting, we didn’t just discuss theory; we analyzed real-world career paths. We talked about why a modern security professional cannot do without digital literacy, English proficiency, critical thinking, and an understanding of professional ethics.
