The effort of Sumy State University (SumDU) in the field of sustainability education and university governance, as well as public authority efforts to overcome the low level of business transparency and sustainability ideas among Ukrainians, need to be triggered with the incorporation of central EU sustainability policies, instruments, and tools.
The project “Transparency. Accountability. Responsibility. Governance. Europe. Trust. Sustainability (TARGETS)” is designed to multiply EU experience in sustainability and SDGs values (quality education, gender equality, climate change mitigation, revert biodiversity, responsible production, consumption, and investment) for Ukraine. To reach this aim on a multidisciplinary, multilevel, holistic, and multistakeholder basis, a new MOOC and academic course, “Transparency, Accountability, and Sustainability of Business towards EU Integration,” will be designed and implemented.
Practically oriented events will support project results dissemination: “Sustainability Ideas Generator: EU Lessons for Ukraine”:
- training related to the project topic;
- “Science for Sustainable Development” series of open lectures and workshops;
- virtual mobility classes “EU-Ukraine best practice towards SDGs progress”;
- “Sustainable Decisions for Business according to EU Legislation” forums;
- series of printed outputs (research papers, conference proceedings, intellectual property documents, monographs, and methodological guide).
The project team is presented by lecturers of the Department of Accounting and Taxation: Inna Makarenko (project coordinator), Yuliia Serpeninova and Zhanna Oleksich.
We wish you success and more scientific achievements!
