THE WORK OF THE SCIENTIFIC CLUB OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND TAXATION

April 15, 2024 – a meeting as a part of the work of the scientific group of the Department of Accounting and Taxation “Accounting, Analysis, Audit and Taxation: International Context” (scientific leader – Ph.D, Associate Professor Zhanna Oleksich) was held.

The meeting of the circle took place in the form of a round table dedicated to audit activities at the global level.

Despite the quarantine and the escalation of military conflicts in the world, the average growth of the global audit activity market in recent years is about 3%, and the total income of audit companies has increased. A lot of attention during the discussion was devoted to the challenges and prospects of the development of audit activities in the global context. The students came to the conclusion that despite the fact that the crisis continues and many companies will still have to deal with its inevitable consequences, the field of global audit activity has prospects for development: acquisition of smaller companies, investments in infrastructure and IT development, orientation for medium-sized businesses and a detailed study of the current needs of consumers – opportunities that each of the auditing companies can take advantage of.

Students took an active part in the discussion, showed interest in the discussed topic. The acquired knowledge will help them in further education and professional growth.

Prepared by Ph.D, Associate Professor Zhanna Oleksich.
