May 20, 2025 – a meeting as a part of the work of the scientific group of the Department of Accounting and Taxation “Accounting, Analysis, Audit and Taxation: International Context” (scientific leader – Ph.D, Associate Professor Zhanna Oleksich) was held.
We continue a series of round tables as the part of the course “Transparency, accountability and stability of business on the way to EU integration”.
Today’s roundtable was dedicated to the following topic: “Specific procedures for independent assurance and verification of companies’ and banks’ reports on sustainable development”. In preparation for the new reporting format, Ukrainian enterprises should follow a systematic, step-by-step approach that includes some specific procedures. So, to begin with, experts recommend that enterprises: assess readiness and strategy, develop appropriate internal policies, train staff and stakeholders, integrate reporting with financial processes, and take into account future updates and trends.
Audit and consulting services will be specific and necessary for the new reporting. For example, specialists can provide the following services: conducting diagnostics and gap analysis, consulting on building ESG processes, preparing methodological documents and templates, consulting on integration with European standards, auditing and independent confirmation of information, training programs and workshops, support in communications and information disclosure.
