STUDENTS MAJORING IN ACCOUNTING AND TAXATION TOOK PART IN A PROFESSIONAL WEBINAR

On April 9, 2024, second-year students majoring in Accounting and Taxation joined an exciting professional webinar as part of the study of the discipline Accounting (General Theory) (teacher – assistant professor Filatova G.P.). The webinar on “Tax audit: payments to non-residents, charity, cost price” was prepared by Mariana Kavyn, a practicing accountant and tax consultant.
During the meeting, students had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of various aspects of accounting. In particular, they studied in detail the issues related to the payment of income to non-residents and learned what taxes arise in this case. In addition, the students analyzed the charitable activities of non-profit organizations, analyzing typical mistakes that may arise in this area, and also familiarized themselves with a checklist of typical mistakes in calculating the cost of products, works and services.
The students showed a keen interest in the webinar, as it gave them the opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical skills that will be useful in their future professional activities.
