March 18, 2024 – 3rd-year-students majoring in “Accounting and Taxation” within the discipline “Financial Accounting II” joined the webinar on the topic “Annual vacations and seniority in a new way, creating a “vacation” reserve & Hospital/maternity leave from April 1″.
The webinar was conducted by Tetyana Hul, a consultant on labor remuneration and labor legislation, and Halyna Kaznachey, an expert on labor legislation.
During the webinar, students received relevant practical information regarding the following issues:
- Annual leave: seniority in a new way, calculation of the average, errors and corrections in D1
- Vacation reserve for the reporting date: from creation to inventory
- Hospital/maternity leave from April 1: new restrictions, corrections, accruals, liability.
In particular, students learned how to calculate vacation time in 2024 in various practical situations, in which cases the average salary based on the salary, how the limits for sick leave change, for which vacations to create a reserve, how to conduct an inventory of the reserve and display its result, what are the most common mistakes assumed by the accountant during the calculation of vacation and sick leave, who is responsible for the incorrect calculation of sick leave and received a step-by-step algorithm for calculating vacation and sick leave.
