On March 07, 2023, students of the specialty 071 Accounting and taxation took part in a professional webinar on the topic “Tax consequences of the latest changes in VAT, the impact of martial law on the determination of VAT,” prepared by Maryana Kavin (certified practicing accountant and tax consultant).
Participating in the webinar aims to understand how the war changed the long-known and standard rules of VAT taxation.
In particular, as part of the webinar, the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the following issues:
– changes in the adoption of a decision on registration/refusal of registration of PN/RK, which will come into effect from 08.03.2023
-since when the new “military” fines for late registration of PN/RK have been in effect
-how does the fine for understated VAT liability “work” during martial law – the obligation to register as a VAT payer
– who is affected and how not to miss the deadlines
– write-off of the goods receivable – due to the occurrence of force majeure.
Analysis of the situation and analysis of tax consequences Maryana Kavin told the real stories of accountants. It showed the tax risks and advised how to get out of the problem with minor tax consequences.
Thanks for the engaging, relevant, and helpful information!
