PARTICIPATION OF POST-GRADUATE STUDENT IN THE ONLINE EVENT OF THE MINISTRY OF ENERGY OF UKRAINE

PhD student of Academic and Research Institute of Business, Economic and Management, graduate of the Department of Accounting and Taxation, Mariia Solodukha, took part in took part in the online discussion “Ensuring disclosure of information about the extractive industry in conditions of war and post-war recovery”. The event was organized by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine together with the multilateral group for the implementation of the Initiative for transparency in the extractive industries as part of the Open Government Week.

The participants of the discussion discussed how and when there will be changes in the legislation on the reporting of extractive industries, what criteria will be taken into account when filling out such reports, what are the risks and opportunities.

The experts talked about where and when the IPVG 2023 standard will be updated, as well as the environmental risks that already exist in the extraction of oil, gas and other materials. Targeted allocation of funds from tax revenues from such companies to the budget has become an equally controversial topic.
