On December 1, the Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 5749. It stipulates punishment for mobbing at work with a fine in the amount of UAH 1,700-2,550 or community service for a period of 20 to 40 hours.
Mobbing (harassment) is the action of the employer or individual employees of the labor team, which are aimed at humiliating the dignity and honor of the employee, his professional (business) reputation in the form of psychological and/or economic pressure, in particular with the use of electronic communications, creating tense, a hostile, offensive atmosphere, including one that forces a person to underestimate their own professional suitability.
The final text of the law has not yet been made public, but this draft law is very relevant and will likely enter into force soon.
