The project of amendments to the Procedure for providing the employer with compensation for labor costs for the employment of IDPs has been published. In particular, it is proposed to increase the amount of compensation, based on the new amount of the ministerial salary – UAH 6,700.
With this in mind, a draft Resolution of the CMU “On Amendments to the Procedure for Providing Employers with Compensation for Labor Costs for Employment of Internally Displaced Persons as a Result of Military Actions During Martial Law in Ukraine” was developed. It was made public for discussion by the SPO of trade unions.
The draft Resolution proposes:
- amend the Procedure in terms of expanding the program’s funding sources, in particular, at the expense of the Fund (within financial capabilities) and other sources not prohibited by law;
- the lack of funds provided for the financing of the above-mentioned program in the reserve fund of the state budget and in the budget of the Fund shall be considered a reason for refusing to provide the employer with compensation for labor costs for each employed person from among IDPs;
- to increase the amount of compensation, based on the new amount of the minimum wage – 6,700 hryvnias. Currently, compensation for expenses is provided in the amount of UAH 6,500 per month for each employed person for whom the employer pays the unemployment insurance, for the period of wartime and within 30 calendar days after its cancellation or termination.
