On March 12, 2025, at the Department of Accounting and Taxation was completed the cycle of open lectures and seminars “Science for Sustainable Development” within the framework of the Jean Monet module project “Transparency. Accountability. Responsibility. Governance. Europe. Trust. Sustainability” financed by the Erasmus+ program (101085395— TARGETS — ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH).
The organizers of the project, Dr. of Sc., associate professor Makarenko Inna, Ph.D., associate professor Serpeninova Yuliya, Ph.D., senior lecturer Oleksich Zhanna, presented a lecture on the topic ” EU experience in Sustainability reporting implementation: bibliometric analysis“. During the lecture, various aspects of the implementation of sustainable development reporting in EU countries were considered, in particular, the use of bibliometric methods for the analysis of scientific publications and assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of these reports.
The participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with practical examples of the use of bibliometric methods in sustainable development research, as well as to discuss the possibilities of their application in Ukraine. The lecture aroused lively interest and active discussion among those present, which indicates the relevance of the topic and the importance of such events for the development of science and education in Ukraine.
The cycle of lectures and seminars was aimed at communicating the results of the project to a wider academic audience, in particular the events were attended by students and postgraduates of Sumy State University and other universities. The importance of these open lectures and seminars lies in the inclusion of topics focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in master’s and doctoral programs.
