Attention! This year, those who have completed general secondary education will not take the final state certification.
For admission to the bachelor’s level of higher education this year, applicants will need to pass the national multi-subject test (NMT).
The NMT will contain three blocks of tasks, two of which are mandatory, and the third is optional for the entrant. Compulsory subjects are Ukrainian language and mathematics, and optional subjects include history of Ukraine, one of the foreign languages (English, German, French, or Spanish), biology, chemistry, and physics. The subject for which the entrant would like to take the test will be specified during the registration for participation in the NMT.
NMT will be held in one day. Testing will last 180 minutes, therefore, 60 minutes are allotted for each block. For competitive selection, the results of each block will be used, translated into a scale of 100–200 points. For all specialties, coefficients will be set for the results of each NMT block.
Registration for participation in the assessment will take place in April. The Ukrainian Center for Evaluation of the Quality of Education will provide paperless registration. Currently, two NMT sessions are planned: main and additional. The main one will be held in June, the additional one will be held in June – July. Those entrants who, for valid reasons, did not pass the test during the main session will be able to take part in the additional testing session. As last year, the NMT will take place in specially equipped computer classrooms of educational institutions – temporary examination centers (TEC).
Participants will be able to independently choose the third subject of NMT. It will be universal, that is, the applicant will be able to enter any specialty with the subject he has chosen. However, for admission to different specialties, different coefficients will be applied to the NMT results. If the entrant enters the legal field of training, the result from the history of Ukraine will have more weight than from biology, and vice versa for the medical field.
Instead of the 2023 NMT results, you can use the 2022 NMT results or the 2021 or 2020 ZNO results.
For admission to a master’s program based on a bachelor’s degree, all applicants will take the Unified Entrance Examination (UEE), which will have two blocks: a test of general academic competence (GACT) and a foreign language test (English, German, French, Spanish). Also, for admission to a number of specialties, it will be necessary to pass the Unified professional entrance exam (UPEE).
