THE WORK OF THE SCIENTIFIC CLUB OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND TAXATION

June 3, 2025 – a meeting as a part of the work of the scientific group of the Department of Accounting and Taxation “Accounting, Analysis, Audit and Taxation: International Context” (scientific leader – Ph.D, Associate Professor Zhanna Oleksich) was held.

We continue a series of round tables as the part of the course “Transparency, accountability and stability of business on the way to EU integration”.

Today’s roundtable was dedicated to the following topic: «Ratings of sustainable companies and investors in the EU “.

The rankings of sustainable companies around the world vary depending on the organization compiling them and the criteria used. The most well-known rankings are those based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and other indicators that assess companies’ performance in the social, environmental, and economic spheres. The UN Sustainable Development Goals provide a framework for assessing companies on their contribution to achieving global development goals, such as combating climate change, poverty, hunger and inequality. The most famous examples of such companies are: Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Tesla. They work on various aspects of sustainable development, such as supporting education, helping to combat climate change, switching to more environmentally friendly materials and reducing energy consumption, and ensuring access to technology.
