THE WORK OF THE SCIENTIFIC CLUB OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND TAXATION

March 6, 2025 – a meeting as a part of the work of the scientific group of the Department of Accounting and Taxation “Accounting, Analysis, Audit and Taxation: International Context” (scientific leader – Ph.D, Associate Professor Zhanna Oleksich) was held.

We started a series of round tables as the part of the course “Transparency, accountability and stability of business on the way to EU integration”.

Today’s round table was devoted to the concept of sustainable development, its origin, chronology of implementation and meaning. The sustainable development strategy was announced at the UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro (1992). The concept of sustainable development took its shape in 2015 at the UN Summit on Sustainable Development in New York, which approved a global program containing 17 sustainable development goals that the world must achieve by 2030. Sustainable development consists in the balanced development of economic, social and environmental components. The main goal of sustainable development is the preservation of humanity, and the tasks are the preservation of the conditions of existence of ecosystems and the biosphere.

Enter our department and join our scientific community!
