The series of trainings “Generator of sustainable development ideas: EU lessons for Ukraine” as part of the implementation of the Jean Monet Erasmus + project

On September 25, 2023, the Department of Accounting and Taxation hosted the third training from the series “Sustainability Ideas Generator: EU Lessons for Ukraine” within the framework of the Jean Monet module project “Transparency. Accountability. Responsibility. Governance. Europe. Trust. Sustainability” financed by the Erasmus+ program (101085395— TARGETS — ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH). The event was held as part of the global week of the Sustainable Development Goals, which ran from 15 to 24 September 2023 and is an annual week of action, awareness and accountability.

The participants of the project, Dr. of Sc., associate professor Makarenko Inna, Ph.D., associate professor Serpeninova Yuliya, Ph.D., senior lecturer Oleksich Zhanna focused on the concept of sustainable development and its relevance in current conditions, issues of assessing the state of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, ways of mobilizing actions to accelerate implementation and consideration of new challenges.

Undergraduate students majoring in “Accounting and Taxation” had the opportunity to discuss the urgent issues that were raised at the Summit on Sustainable Development Goals during the UN General Assembly in New York, held on September 18-19, 2023, and to propose ways of development for Ukraine taking into account progress and lessons from European countries.
