Artem Rudychenko, the student of the Department of Accounting and Taxation, currently studies in Slovakia at the University of Economics in Bratislava with the support of the National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic.
Artem answered several of our questions.
– Do you like life in a new country?
Slovakia has a lot in common with Ukraine – similar mentality, culture. The language is simple, you can get along with the locals. We were impressed by the castles of Slovakia. I especially recommend visiting at least the most famous of them. By the way, travel for students is free.
– How do you like life in a student dormitory in Slovakia?
Conditions are comfortable. 2 students live in the room. There is a dining hall in my dormitory. It is convenient, you can not go to cafes or shops, because everything is nearby. You can quickly get to the university by train or bus.
– What difficulties did you encounter in your studies?
Ukraine and Slovakia have a common modular credit system, so training is quite similar. Teachers are friendly and go to meet students, they help, provide additional materials so that you fully understand the subject if there are difficulties.
– Is it possible to study and work at the same time?
It is possible, but it will be difficult. Many international companies operate in Slovakia and they always need employees, even without knowledge of the local language. There are opportunities – you just need time))).
– Do you regret changing the educational institution?
When you go to study abroad, it’s like entering the university again, experiencing all the emotions anew. Just try it and you definitely won’t regret it. You will have friends from different parts of the world and memories to last a lifetime. You will be able to explore your profession from a different point of view and gain valuable experience!
