On March 31, 2023, the lecturers of the Department of Accounting and Taxation (Oleksich Zh.A., Miroshnychenko O.V., Kravchenko O.V., Filatova H.P.) took part in the faculty hour organized by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants AICPA&CIMA.
The faculty hour was devoted to the topic ” AICPA University Program in Information Technology”.
One of the reasons for CPA Evolution is a growing demand for accounting professionals with knowledge of technology and systems to help organizations achieve their business goals, manage the risk technology introduces as well as meet information governance, risk, and compliance needs.
Chartered IT Professional (CITP) is the independent standard of competence and professionalism in the technology industry.
During the faculty hour, the participants had the opportunity to gain knowledge on the subject from the leading professionals in this field, in particular AICPA CITP Credential Manager, Paul Warrick, and a group of four CITP credential holders, in terms of the following questions:
- their pathway to becoming a CITP credential holder;
- the CPA Evolution Initiative;
- the CITP competency and its relevance in our technology driven marketplace;
- the AICPA University Program in IT and its alignment with the CITP credential.
Also, Julia Woislaw will shared information about the AICPA and NASBA’s new Experience, Learn and Earn (ELE) program
The knowledge gained will be used in preparation for the CPA exam.
