On May 11, 2026, Associate Professor of the Department Olena Kravchenko participated in the fifth meeting of the Methodological Expert Council, dedicated to the discussion of the topic “ACCA and International Financial Qualifications”, which was held with the participation of the ACCA representative in Ukraine – Denys Shchur, ACCA Business Development Manager in Ukraine.
The meeting discussed topical issues of the development of international financial reporting and professional certification of accountants and financiers in Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the international ACCA qualification, advanced training programs, in particular DipIFR (IFRS), the peculiarities of passing professional exams, and international career opportunities for accountants and financiers.
Also during the meeting, Olena Kharlamova, founder and CEO of the IFRS Agency, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and expert practitioner with over 20 years of experience, delivered a report. Her speech was dedicated to the topic “DipIFR: What Really Decides the Result”. During her speech, the speaker focused on systematic preparation for the DipIFR exam, practical aspects of IFRS application, and the importance of international certification for the professional development of accountants and financiers.
The participants of the event discussed the prospects for the introduction of international professional qualifications in Ukraine, the role of ACCA in the training of modern financial specialists, the features of the application of IFRS in the practical activities of enterprises, as well as the requirements of the modern labor market for accountants and auditors.
