Next year, the Government will introduce new compensation programs for employers for the employment of certain categories of the population, which will allow to activate the situation on the labor market.
Starting from the next year, the following rule will come into effect for employers – if you hire young people under the age of 25, who mostly do not have insurance experience, the unemployment fund will compensate you for half of the minimum wage for six months. If you hire a person with a disability or a military serviceman, or a person who has 5 years left before retirement, the state will compensate for half of the costs of their work for six months, but no more than the minimum wage. There is also a compensation program for the employment of internally displaced persons, which is in effect this year and has already employed almost 15,000 people.
In the draft state budget for 2023, the Government proposes to allocate UAH 2.5 billion for active employment programs, which is an unprecedentedly high amount.
