Meeting with a representative of “Ernst & Young” for the 4th- and 5th-year-students of the specialty “Accounting and Taxation”

February 10, 2022 – an online meeting with a representative of “Ernst & Young”, organized by the Senior Lecturer of the Chair of Accounting and Taxation Zhanna Oleksich for the 4th- and 5th-year-students of the specialty “Accounting and Taxation”, took place.

The speaker of the meeting was Veronika Ostapenko, Senior Assistant Auditor of “Ernst & Young” in Warsaw, Poland. “Ernst & Young”, along with Deloitte, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, is considered one of the Big Four accounting firms. It primarily provides assurance (which includes financial audit), tax, consulting and advisory services to its clients. Like many of the larger accounting firms in recent years, EY has expanded into markets adjacent to accounting, including strategy, operations, HR, technology, and financial services consulting.

Mrs. Veronika shared her own experience of working in such a company, the peculiarities of providing different types of services, the advantages and disadvantages of living abroad, the prospects of employment in this organization. She stressed the importance of gaining quality knowledge while studying, which helps her in her daily work and career advancement.

Students gained valuable knowledge that would help them in their future professional life.
