The effectiveness of students’ educational work, the positive motivation for the learning process, the success of professional activity after graduation largely depends on the level of adaptation of first-year students to the new educational environment.
It is for the first-year students to a greater extent characterized by increased anxiety, low self-esteemand depression. The process of adapting first-year students is very important, complicated and long.
Students met psychologist Jana Stager on November 18. During the meeting, the problematic issues faced by freshmen were discussed. It was about basic emotions that help us – about anger, sadness, fear and joy. Similar emotions were analyzed: irritation and aggression, excitement and horror, sadness and grief – and talked about the risks involved in living those emotions.
Students actively participated in the discussion and thanked for the practical advice.
